Lithium Universe (ASX: LU7) has reported highly promising results from its proprietary Jet Electrochemical Silver Extraction (JESE) technology, developed in partnership with Macquarie University. The process has achieved 95.95% silver purity within just five minutes, comparable to Britannia-grade silver and significantly outperforming conventional bath methods, which yielded only 78.6% purity. Importantly, impurities were limited to just 4.05%, with aluminium and oxygen as the main trace elements, while heavy metals such as lead and bismuth remained exceptionally low.

These results mark a major proof-of-concept milestone, confirming JESE’s ability to deliver high-purity silver at lower energy demand, reduced acid consumption, and with substantially less waste generation than traditional methods.
