Building a Lithium Future
ASX ANNOUNCEMENT AND MEDIA RELEASE
23 October 2026
MANAGEMENT TRANSITION
Lithium Universe Limited (“Lithium Universe” or “the Company”) (ASX: LU7) announces that Mr Iggy Tan, Chief
Executive Officer and Dr Jingyuan Liu, Chief Technical Officer, have tendered their resignations to pursue other
opportunities. Mr Tan and Dr Liu will conclude their roles with the Company on 30 October 2026. The Board
thanks Mr Tan and Dr Liu for their contributions to the Company and wishes them well in their future endeavours.
The Board has commenced a formal search for a new Chief Executive Officer to lead the Company through its
next phase of development and growth.
The Company remains focused on advancing its lithium refinery strategy, including its planned North American
lithium refining opportunities, alongside the development and commercialisation of its technology portfolio. This
includes the licensed Gold Copper Diamide Extraction (GCDE) technology for gold and copper recovery from
electronic waste, and the Microwave Joule Heating Technology (MJHT) and Jet Electrochemical Silver
Extraction (JESE) technologies for the recovery of valuable materials from end-of-life solar panels.
The Board will continue to assess priorities across these strategic initiatives, with a focus on advancing project
development, evaluating commercial opportunities and creating long-term shareholder value.
Chairman Comment
Lithium Universe Chairman, Gernot Abl, said:
“I would like to thank Iggy and Jingyuan for their valuable contributions, commitment and leadership since the
Company’s formation. The team has been instrumental in building and advancing the Company’s technology
portfolio, including completion of the Definitive Feasibility Study for the Bécancour Lithium Refinery and the Pre-
Feasibility Study for the Brownsville Lithium Refinery. Importantly, the team also led the Company’s expansion
into advanced recycling technologies, including the acquisition and development of the silver extraction
technology for end-of-life photovoltaic solar panels, in collaboration with Macquarie University, and the gold and
copper extraction technology for electronic waste, in partnership with the University of Edinburgh. These
achievements have established a substantial technical and intellectual property platform for the Company. The
Board sincerely appreciates the significant contribution made by Iggy and Jingyuan and thank them for their
dedication in advancing the Company’s projects and technologies.”
